Connecting Dialpad to Nutshell allows your call activity to flow automatically into your account. Once connected, your inbound and outbound calls will appear on the Calls page along with AI-generated summaries that help you quickly understand what each conversation covered. You can also choose to have calls logged as activities automatically and set a default activity type that fits your workflow.
If you use the Dialpad desktop app, you can click any phone number in Nutshell to start a call through Dialpad without needing to juggle different tabs or devices.
Getting started
You can begin your Dialpad setup from either of these locations in Nutshell:
Once you are on the Phone settings page, look for the Dialpad card to get started.
A login/OAuth window will appear where you can sign in using your Dialpad credentials.
Dialpad will ask for permission to share your call information with Nutshell. Approve the request to complete the connection.
Making calls with Dialpad
To place calls using your Dialpad app, ensure the Dialpad desktop app is installed on your computer. After that, clicking a phone number in Nutshell will automatically start a call through Dialpad if you have chosen this as your default setting.
Once connected, your calls appear in Sales > Calls where you can review logged calls, log any unlogged calls, and take advantage of AI-generated summaries for quick context. Your call activity stays organized and easy to work with every day.
