With Nutshell’s Zoom integration, you can log Zoom calls as activities, get a full transcription of each call, and receive an AI-generated summary of the conversation. This makes it easy to review past meetings, capture key details, and keep your records up to date.

Getting started

Find Zoom under Sales > Meetings > Zoom to get started.

Follow the prompts to connect your Zoom account and start using the integration.

Note: To generate a transcription and AI summary, Zoom meetings must be recorded to the cloud. This allows Nutshell to process the audio and create a detailed transcript and summary of the conversation.

For automatic recording, click the Settings button in Zoom, ensure the toggle is on and the Record to cloud option is checked.

Once connected, the Zoom page will display a list of all completed Zoom calls, with the ability for users to:

  • View meeting date and duration

  • View and access participants' people pages if they exist in Nutshell

  • Access the meeting recording by clicking on the Recording link which will open the meeting recording on the Zoom platform

  • View the transcript status

  • Log Zoom meetings as Nutshell activities

  • Remove the meeting from the list

Manage your Zoom call follow-up

In the Settings tab, choose how Zoom calls are handled. Log them manually when you're ready or let Nutshell automatically transcribe, summarize, and log them as activities.

How to log Zoom calls manually

To log a Zoom meeting as an activity, head to the Zoom page and click the "Log as activity" button.

Alternatively, you can log a Zoom call directly from a Person, Company, or Lead page. Find the Zoom call in the Activities list, marked with a video icon. Click on the activity to open the Zoom activity dialog, where you can view meeting details and add your own notes.

If multiple Zoom meetings are available, you’ll see a list to choose from. Each option will display the meeting name, time, number of participants, and call status, including whether it was recorded, not recorded, or processing.
