Nutshell can connect to the phone system(s) your team uses, including RingCentral, Dialpad, Aircall, CallRail, and Nutshell’s built-in click to call. Connecting a provider makes it easy to call your contacts and leads directly from Nutshell and automatically track those activities.
Completed calls are tracked automatically, default activity types can be applied, and AI-generated summaries are available to quickly see what each call was about. Your calls are visible in a single place, keeping all activity organized and easy to access.
Getting started
Go to Settings > Your settings > Phone to see all available phone integrations.
Choose your phone provider. You can connect to multiple if you use more than one phone provider.
Once you click on the ‘Get started’ button, you’ll be taken through a guided set-up process where you can:
Choose whether calls should be logged automatically
Select default activity types
Import calls from the last thirty days if available
Choose what happens when a phone number is clicked in Nutshell
After setup, your provider will appear as configured. You can also make changes around which provider you’d like Nutshell to use when you click ‘Call’ and the activity type you’d like the call to be logged as.
Managing your calls
After connecting your provider(s), all your calls appear in Sales > Calls. The page is split into two tabs to help you keep track of everything.
Unlogged calls
This tab shows calls that have not yet been logged as activities. You can quickly log a call by clicking the Log activity button on the right side of the table.
Logged calls
This tab shows calls that have already been logged, including those automatically logged based on your integration settings.
The call table also includes an AI-generated summary column. Hover over the summary to quickly see what the call was about without opening the full activity. This makes it easier to scan through calls and stay on top of your conversations.
