What is a white glove data import?
We want to make switching to Nutshell as easy as possible, and we know that bringing over your old customer data from years of using spreadsheets or another CRM can be the biggest hurdle. Customers on all Nutshell plans can fill out our easy white glove import service request during onboarding and we'll take care of importing your data for you! Nutshell Enterprise customers also have access to free ongoing white glove data imports, even after onboarding!
Please note that in order to use this service you will need to be an administrator for your organization.
What is email marketing data migration?
If you're using an email marketing tool, you likely have a lot of contact data stored there too. When you get started with Nutshell Campaigns, we will import your email marketing data for you for free. This white glove service is offered to those with a Nutshell Pro plan or above.
What is Connected Form setup assistance?
Forms on your website are an important source of information about leads, and keeping that data stored in your CRM can help you communicate more strategically. If you are on Nutshell Pro or above, our support team will also help you set up Nutshell Forms or integrate your connected forms with Nutshell for seamless web form data storage in your CRM. This white glove service is offered to those with a Nutshell Pro plan and above.
What does our team do to help import your data?
Our team will review your data and use our years of expertise to migrate your important customer information into Nutshell. We take each column of data from your spreadsheet and match it to an appropriate field in Nutshell. If the fields don't exist, we'll create them for you in your new Nutshell account to be sure that your data stays organized and accessible.
If we find we have any questions about your file, we’ll be sure to reach out to you to make sure we get your data into Nutshell with the most accuracy. We also take care to avoid duplicates in your account and determine any other methods we can apply when importing your data to future-proof your ongoing customer experience and lead tracking in Nutshell.
What does our team need from you?
For data imports, you will need to upload a CSV or Excel file. Each different type of data (contact name, company name, phone number, email address, etc) will need to be in its own column in your spreadsheet. You can check out our Importing: Best practices article for advice on how to set up your file in advance. Standard exports from existing CRMs or other customer tracking tools will already be formatted correctly!
