Leads can automatically enter and leave email marketing campaigns in MailChimp based on where they are in the buying process.
Integrate your sales process with MailChimp to be sure that your prospects are receiving the right messages at the right time.
By the way, you can do this without integrating with any other email marketing providers by using Nutshell Campaigns!
Set up your email marketing integration
First, you’ll need a MailChimp account with at least one audience.
To integrate Nutshell with Mailchimp:
Go to the Sales automation page in your company settings
Click on your pipeline
Under the email marketing banner, click Connect
Sign in to Mailchimp
Automatically add and remove leads from email lists
Your leads should be receiving different email content during the separate phases of their buying journeys. In Nutshell, you can automate when leads are added and removed from different campaigns. You can also overlap their subscriptions; for example, you could add them to a newsletter and an onboarding drip.
To automatically subscribe leads to an audience at a certain stage in your pipeline:
Click the + button below the email marketing banner
Select your email list of choice from the first dropdown
Select the stage where the lead should be unsubscribed from the second dropdown
Click Save
You also have the option to keep the lead in the audience forever (or until they decide to unsubscribe themselves).
Edit or delete an email marketing automation
You can make changes to the setup by clicking on the email marketing automation in your pipeline setup view. From the side panel, you can select a different list, choose to remove the lead from an list in a later stage, or delete the automation entirely.
FAQ
What happens if I add a person to a lead at a later stage than when the lead is supposed to add them to my drip campaign?
Any new people on a lead will be automatically added to your email drip unless you add them during or after a stage that removes a lead from a specific campaign.
What happens if a lead closes before they reach a stage where they are automatically removed from a list?
If a lead closes before they are supposed to be removed from a list, Nutshell will remove them from the audience automatically at the time the lead closes, unless your pipeline is set up to keep them in the audience "forever".
