VisitorIQ is a powerful feature designed to answer the age-old question of who is visiting your website by providing insight into both the companies and the individuals working for those companies that are exploring your website, even before they fill out a form. You’ll have access to valuable company and people information like revenue, number of employees, job title, LinkedIn profile, contact details, and more.

VisitorIQ removes the need to blindly approach companies and hope for a sale. Now, you have the power to proactively target key individuals who are already showing an interest in your product or service.

Your sales team will be able to quickly identify which people to reach out to and what approach to take, resulting in more successful sales conversations.

Getting started

To get started, you’ll need to embed Nutshell Analytics on your website. If you’re unfamiliar with Nutshell Analytics, check out this helpful article to learn more about setting it up — if you use Wordpress, it’s as easy as installing a plugin.

Once you’re all set up, Nutshell Analytics will collect visitor and company data using a blend of IP databases to identify the businesses and personnel that are browsing your site. In addition, Nutshell partners with industry-leading data enrichment providers to enrich company profiles, providing further accurate company data, helping you make better sales and marketing decisions.

Customize your VisitorIQ tracking

VisitorIQ offers customization options, allowing you to tailor the tracking of your website visitors based on your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). By selecting the industries, management level, job field, and contact information you want to see, you can ensure that the results displayed perfectly align with your sales and marketing strategies. For example, you can just see people in a sales director role and access their direct contact details.

How to customize your tracking

Customizing your tracking preferences is a straightforward process. To do so, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the Settings tab in VisitorIQ

2. Select your preferences

Within the Settings tab, you will find checkboxes next to the various customizable options. These include:

  • Industries

  • Management level

  • Job field

  • Contact information

Simply select the checkboxes that match your desired criteria.

3. Save your selection

After choosing your preferences, click the Save changes button. This action saves your selections, ensuring that only the results meeting your chosen criteria will be displayed in the VisitorIQ table.

Accessing and viewing the Visitors list

On the Visitors tab you will be able to see the list of companies that have visited your site based on your criteria with the following information available:

  • Company name

  • Phone

  • URL

  • Full address

  • Region

  • Industry

  • Number of visits

  • Number of employees

  • Revenue

  • First Visit

  • Date added to Nutshell

Add Company, People, Leads to Nutshell

When you’ve identified a company, simply click on the Company name/row in the VisitorIQ table to unveil people employed at that company who align with the tracked settings of your ICP. To access their contact information you will need to add the company and/or people to Nutshell which will require using a credit. In addition, you have the option to create a lead and assign it to a pipeline in Nutshell.

Your sales team can then use this information to identify and approach the companies and the key individuals that they’d like to target.

Each Nutshell plan comes with 5 free unlocks per month. You can add more to your plan for an additional monthly cost. Learn more here.
