Nutshell’s Microsoft Teams integration gives you flexibility in how you track your calls—You can log them automatically or choose to do it manually. Each meeting includes a transcript, call recording, and an AI-generated summary, helping you revisit conversations, pull out key points, and keep your records accurate.
Getting started
Find Microsoft Teams under Sales > Meetings > Microsoft Teams to get started.
Follow the prompts to connect your Microsoft Teams account and start using the integration.
To generate a transcription and AI summary, Microsoft meetings must be recorded to the cloud. This allows Nutshell to process the audio and create a detailed transcript and summary of the conversation.
Note: As a non-admin, your administrator will need to grant you access to Nutshell Microsoft permissions. Here’s a quick guide:
1. Enter Microsoft Azure as an administrator
2. Select Microsoft Entra ID
3. Select Enterprise applications
4. Select Nutshell
5. Select Permissions
6. Select “Grant admin consent for Nutshell”
7. Login as an admin
8. Review permissions and Accept
Once connected, the MS Teams page will display a list of all completed calls, with the ability for users to:
View meeting date and duration
View and access participants' people pages if they exist in Nutshell
Log MS Teams meetings as Nutshell activities
Remove the meeting from the list
Manage your Microsoft Teams call follow-up
In the Settings tab, you can decide how MS Teams calls are logged. Choose to add them manually or let Nutshell handle transcription, summarization, and activity logging automatically.
How to log a Microsoft Teams call manually
