Nutshell’s AI Agents are here to help you move faster and get more done. Whether you're setting up your sales process, responding to tricky objections from your prospects or customers, or gathering helpful lead research, these assistants are ready to pitch in.

Each one is built to support a specific part of your sales workflow, using some of your existing Nutshell data to tailor their responses.

You can find and use these agents right inside Nutshell—no need to leave your workspace or open a separate tool.

Where to find AI Agents in Nutshell

You can open the AI Agents panel from anywhere in Nutshell:

  • Look for the AI Agents icon in the top-right corner of your screen

  • Click it to open the AI Agents panel

  • You’ll see a simple list of available Agents. Choose one to start chatting.

Meet your AI Agents

How conversations work (and how credits are used)

Each time you start chatting with an agent, it uses one conversation credit. You can send as many messages as you want during that conversation, it's only counted as one credit unless you reset it.

A conversation will reset and use another credit if:

  • You click the Reset button to start over:

  • The session times out after a period of inactivity

  • You're using the Lead research agent and switch between multiple leads

Your monthly credit total depends on your Nutshell plan and how many licenses you have. For example:

  • Some plans include 5 conversations per user per month

  • Business and Enterprise plans include a shared pool of 200 or 500 conversations per month

You’ll see how many conversations you have left at the bottom of the AI Agents panel. For example:

If you’ve reached your monthly limit, the agents will be paused until credits refresh the following month. You’ll still be able to open the AI panel, but the agents will be grayed out with a message directing you to your billing page if you want to explore your options.

Tips for getting the best results

  • Use each agent in the right spot: For example, the Lead research agent works best when you’re viewing a lead.

  • Be clear and specific in your questions or prompts: For example, try: “Write a follow-up email for a lead who hasn’t responded in a week.”

  • Don’t be afraid to experiment: These agents are designed to help you work smarter, and you can always reset a conversation if you want to try a new angle.
