When you first download Nutshell, you’ll first notice the beautiful login/signup screen. If you have yet to sign up for a trial, we encourage you to do so. You can login with Google Single Sign On or with an email address and password. Read the general overview or our blog post on Nutshell iOS 3.0 to get started with Nutshell on the go!

Once you log in, you’ll see the Home screen, a company, Facebook-like/Twitter-like feed of all the good stuff that’s happening across your company.

Add Companies, People, Leads, Activities, & Tasks

The + icon (create button) will allow you to quickly create Companies, People, Leads, Activities, & Tasks and to quickly scan business cards.

On the top right, the calendar icon allows you to view your upcoming Tasks and Activities

Navigation menu

Along the bottom, you’ll see a navigation menu: Home icon, Companies/People/Leads icon, + icon (create button), Reports icon, and Search icon.

The Companies/People/Leads icon will show you a list view of all entities. You can quickly switch between each of the three by tapping each filter at the top.

Each page will allow you to search based on Name, phone number, email address, optional description, etc.

The Companies and People pages will allow you to switch between the Info page, where contact information can be found; the Timeline, where a history of contact can be viewed; and the Leads page, which will show all historical Leads for that Company or Person.

You can also filter by lead statuses, on the Leads page. Learn more about Pending Leads.

After using filters to create lists of Companies/People/Leads on your computer, view your saved lists from the iOS.

Use lists to easily pull up important contacts while you are on the go.

Apply select filters directly from the mobile app as well:

The bell icon in Nutshell is your Notifications drop-down where you’ll see a concise list of everything that you’ve opted in to be notified about.

Feedback & Support

On the Home screen, just to the right of the gear icon is the Feedback & Support page. You’ll be able to learn more about Nutshell through helpful knowledge base articles.

On the top left, you’ll see a gear icon, your settings. From there, you’ll see quick links to import your contacts, to send us a message, to call us, to review us on the app store (which you should totally do), and a link to view our acknowledgments. You can also log out from this screen.
