Ashanté here! You may recognize my name (and face) if you and I have ever corresponded via Nutshell support emails, phone calls, or chats, or if you’ve watched any of my helpful guided videos in our Help Center since I joined Nutshell’s customer experience team at the start of 2019.
Today I am excited to share two pieces of Nutshell news with you:
- I was recently promoted to Product Marketing Specialist, which means you’re going to be hearing a lot more from me. I’ll be relaunching our bi-weekly-ish “Shipping News” newsletter to keep you in the loop on all the new and exciting product releases and improvements at Nutshell.
- And speaking of new and exciting, you can now directly reply to emails within your Nutshell account!
Yes, you read that correctly! You can now reply to any email from Nutshell timelines as well as from your personal Nutshell inbox.
What we were hearing
When I was a member of Nutshell’s customer experience team, the ability to reply directly to emails within Nutshell was a common improvement request. Nutshell already offered a seamless two-way email sync for both Gmail and Office 365, which allows our customers to work out of their email inboxes while knowing that their messages will also be available in their Nutshell account when needed.
However, we were finding that more of our customers wanted to work solely out of Nutshell. They also wanted more visibility in their overall correspondence, particularly when it came to lengthy conversations and threads on their timelines.
This feedback gave us an opportunity to not only improve our product, but also to solidify Nutshell as a one-stop shop for doing all of your sales and marketing communication out of one tool.
Here’s where to find it
Emails on Nutshell timelines now have a Reply option which will open an email draft window that includes all previous correspondence from that email thread—just like you’d see in your Gmail or other email application.
There’s also a Reply option available for all emails within your personal Nutshell inbox. (Just hit those three dots on the right side to find it.)
And just like your Company, Person, and Lead page timelines, the Dashboard timeline also has a Reply option available for all visible emails.
