AI features are available on Nutshell Business and above.

Nutshell’s AI summarization tools save you time by distilling hundreds of email threads and long meeting transcriptions into quick summaries. We rely on OpenAI and Anthropic's industry-leading models to do much of the heavy lifting.

We’ve made a careful review of their privacy and data retention policies.

OpenAI and Anthropic will not use data submitted to train or improve their models. Data sent to these models will be retained for abuse monitoring purposes for a maximum of 30 days, after which it will be deleted.

In other words, the data that Nutshell sends to OpenAI and Anthropic is as safe as when it is stored on Nutshell’s infrastructure. As with all of our data subprocessors, any information transferred is encrypted via Transport Layer Security (TLS) connections.

Nutshell has signed and executed a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) with OpenAI including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs). This ensures that OpenAI will only process data in compliance with Nutshell’s instructions.

Any Nutshell admin can disable processing under Setup > General.

You can read more about the data processing policies of OpenAI here and Anthropic here.
