Unbounce is a beautiful tool that makes it easy to create forms and landing pages. You can use our built-in integration to automatically create leads and people in Nutshell from Unbounce forms.
Begin by creating an API key in Nutshell which has permission to create leads. Visit Setup > API Keys and create a key with the HTML forms, Wufoo, Unbounce option. After creating the key, copy the URL created by Nutshell, labeled "API Address."
First, create your landing page and form in Unbounce. If you're making a custom form, you can use field names like:
You'll then add a custom webhook to which the form is submitted. For the submission URL, paste the address that you copied when you created the API key above.
If you're collecting custom lead fields, just make sure that you use the same field name in Unbounce and Nutshell. Custom fields from your form will automatically be attached to the newly-created lead.
You can map any Unbounce field to a Nutshell field mapping in the webhook configuration. Fields that can be mapped:
account_name account_industryName account_email account_phone account_url account_tags account_address_address_1 account_address_address_2 account_address_address_3 account_address_city account_address_state account_address_postal_code account_address_country
contact_name contact_title (requires an account to be submitted simultaneously) contact_email contact_phone contact_url contact_tags contact_address_address_1 contact_address_address_2 contact_address_address_3 contact_address_city contact_address_state contact_address_postal_code contact_address_country source_name (only works for one source, which must already exist) (Include one or more of these parameters to automatically tag a lead with sources from an ad or email campaign. If you have a custom field with this name, sources will not be created.) utm_source utm_medium utm_campaign utm_term utm_content product_name product_quantity competitor_name confidence note isPending tags successUrl
And that's all! When visitors fill out your form, leads will automatically be created in Nutshell. You can see any errors encountered by looking into the Unbounce Webhooks settings.
Track lead sources via utm_ parameters
If you use a service like Adwords or MailChimp to send traffic to your Unbounce pages, you might use URL parameters like `utm_source` to track how people arrive at your page. You can automatically bring this information into Nutshell as lead sources, so you can compare conversion rates and invest in your best campaigns.
To do this, follow the instructions at Unbounce's site. All you'll need to do is add hidden form fields for each possible URL parameter. For example, add a hidden field named "utm_source" — it will automatically be filled with the right data by Unbounce, and Nutshell will automatically create the appropriate lead source.
