Create dashboard cards
Dashboard cards are designed for you to easily see your most important data. Each user in your Nutshell account can customize their own dashboard to see metrics, lists, quotas, the sales pipeline, a leaderboard, and a general summary.
Step 1: Click an empty slot and select your card type
Step 2: Give your card a name
Step 3: Choose your card options
Step 4: Rearrange your cards by dragging & dropping the title bars
Toggle between Sales and Activities. For a Sales leaderboard, select filters for Assignee, Date range, and Tags. For an Activities leaderboard, select filters for Participants, Date range, and Activity type.
The Metrics card shows your new leads, open leads, and sales volume relative to the same point during the previous time frame. Customize the time frame you're viewing in the card by choosing from the filters.
Select one of your saved company, people, or lead lists to see a preview of the list on your dashboard. You'll be able to quickly click through to see your full list, directly from the dashboard.

The list summary card shows you an overview of up to 6 saved lists. You'll see the name of each saved list, the number of leads in that list, and the total value of those leads.
The pipeline card allows you to see how many leads are currently at each stage. You can see the number and total value of the leads currently at every stage. Use this card to get an at-a-glance view of your pipeline.
Quotas (Nutshell Pro)
You can add up to 6 quotas to a single card. Select the assignee and quota type from the lists. The quota view will change when you add more than 1 quota. Create multiple quota cards if you prefer the single quota view.
Your quota cards can include both sales and activity quotas.
The black line represents the ideal progress toward a quota, if you were working at a steady, even pace. The red or green bar represents your actual progress toward your quota. If your bar is red, you are behind where you would need to be during the week (activity) or month (sales) to reach your goal. If the bar is green, you are on target or ahead of your weekly activity quota or monthly sales quota.
The dashboard sidebar gives you unprecedented control over how you view your upcoming activities!
Filter your activities by type and participant. You can jump to a particular day by using the calendar, and past activities that haven't yet been logged will appear in their own section at the top of the list.
Creating activities has never been easier. You can easily schedule an activity with any of your contacts directly from any page by clicking the "+ Create" button in the top left.
Log activities directly from your dashboard once you've completed them. Add your notes and click Log this activity. They'll be logged in your contact's timeline.
To Do list
Your tasks and sales process steps (available with Nutshell Pro) will appear in your To Do list.
Quickly create new tasks by clicking the green "+ Create" button from any page. It's just as easy to complete your tasks without leaving the page.
View your tasks and steps by day or filter by type and assignee.
The timeline is your company feed. It shows an ongoing, up-to-date list of all the events that occur in Nutshell: new leads, logged activities, new companies & people, stage changes, and more.
Your timeline can be filtered by event type and event creator. These filters are useful if you only want to see a chronological list of activities logged by one of your team members, or you only want to see the emails that you've sent.
The timeline can help you stay on top of what's happening in your company, and you can use it to collaborate with your team or encourage your colleagues. Read about commenting on timeline entries here!
How do I make my sidebar more prominent? I want to see my activities & to-dos (or timeline) first and foremost.
You can click to drag the border of the right sidebar towards the left of your screen. This will make your activities, to do list, and timeline much more central to your screen (and your day!).
Can I get rid of the calendar?
Yes! Click the calendar icon to shrink it to a weekly view, then once more to hide it altogether.
Can I share the cards I've created with my team?
No; each person will need to set up their own dashboard cards.
