Customize your account
Most companies who have just signed up for their trial start by customizing their general settings to match their business needs. Personalize your account by adding your company name and logo, choose your time zone, business hours, and location settings such as default phone code and the default country for new addresses.
A note for customers doing business internationally: you will need to set up the markets and currencies that should be available in your account before you can add a new default. Click here to learn how.
Each person who joins Nutshell will also want to customize their personal account settings. You can add up to 5 email addresses to use with Nutshell, choose which types of notifications you want to receive, select your individual time zone, currency, and weather units.

Connect your email
Nutshell makes it easy to keep all of your communications with prospects and customers in the same place by automatically syncing your emails with your Google or Office 365 account. Emails sent from Nutshell will show up in your Sent Mail folder in your regular email account.
Why bother setting up your email?

A note on email: at any time, you can include firstname.lastname@example.org in the BCC field or FWD field to manually add an email to Nutshell.
Import your contacts
Unless you're starting from scratch, you and your team probably have contact lists to import! Nutshell's straightforward import wizard guides you through uploading a spreadsheet in just minutes.

There are a few basic requirements to format your spreadsheet correctly in order to import it into Nutshell. We recommend reviewing this article and video before importing if you've never done a CRM data import before.
A note on importing: only administrators in Nutshell have access to import data in bulk. If you're not an administrator you can still add new contacts to Nutshell using the +Create button in the upper left of your account.
