Nutshell AI is designed to support your work in clear and practical ways. To make it easy to understand what’s available to you and how usage works, AI features are grouped into two categories: AI assists and AI outcomes.

This article explains the difference between the two, what each one is used for, and which AI features fall into each group, so you can use AI with confidence and clarity.

AI assists and AI outcomes at a glance

AI assists and AI outcomes describe how different AI-powered tools behave and how they’re accessed in your plan.

  • AI assists are designed to support your everyday work and are available with unlimited usage based on your plan.

  • AI outcomes are designed to deliver a clear result, and usage is counted toward a monthly allowance.

Both work together to help you save time, stay focused, and get meaningful results from AI.

AI assists help in the flow of your work. They’re designed for ongoing support, quick help, and guidance without requiring you to track usage limits.

You can use AI assist features as often as you like, as long as they’re included in your plan.

AI outcomes

AI outcomes are used when AI creates a clear, tangible result. Each time you use one of these features, it counts as one outcome from your monthly allowance.

All AI outcome features draw from the same shared total, giving you flexibility in how you use them across your work.

AI outcome features include:

  • Lead researcher

  • Email sequence writer, Sales objection coach, Sales pipeline designer

  • Timeline summaries

  • Video meeting notetaker

  • Click-to-call notetaker

  • Phone call notetaker

  • One-click email campaign builder

  • Speak to log (for mobile)

AI outcome allowance by plan

AI outcomes are counted per user each month. Each plan includes a set number of outcomes per user, and all outcome-based features draw from that same monthly total.

Viewing AI usage

Nutshell provides clear visibility into AI usage so there’s always a shared understanding of what’s been used and what’s available.

Admins can view usage via Settings > Administration > AI features

From the AI features page, you can view:

  • Total AI outcomes used for the month

  • Total AI assist usage for the month

  • Last month’s usage

Additionally, admin users can see:

  • All AI features available on the account

  • Whether each feature is an assist or an outcome

  • Controls to turn features on or off for the entire account, simply turn the respective toggle to disable the feature
