Say goodbye to blank-page paralysis! Nutshell AI helps you create beautiful, on-brand email campaigns in seconds. Just share your website URL and describe your campaign goal—our AI handles the rest, automatically pulling in your brand colors, logo, and relevant content.
Getting started
Creating your first AI-powered broadcast is simple:
Navigate to Email Marketing: From your main navigation, go to the Marketing section > Email > Broadcasts.
Create a New Broadcast: Click 'Create broadcast' to open the new broadcast modal.
Select 'Create with Nutshell AI': You'll see the Nutshell AI option highlighted in purple. Click to select it.
Enter Your Website URL: Paste a URL from your website. This could be your homepage, a product page, a campaign landing page, or a blog post announcing something new. Nutshell AI will inspect this page to pull in your colors, logo, images, and content.
Describe Your Campaign: Tell the AI what you want to create. For example:
- "Announce our winter sale with 30% off all products"
- "Invite customers to our upcoming product demo webinar"
- "Highlight the key features of our new software release"
💡 Not sure what to write? Click one of the starter prompts like Announce a new product, Invite customers to a webinar, or Promote upcoming sale to get going quickly!
6. Click 'Preview and edit': Sit back while AI generates your email. In just a few seconds, you'll have a fully designed, on-brand broadcast ready to review.
Website scraping: How it works
When you enter a website URL, Nutshell AI analyzes the page to understand your business and create a more personalized email.
What Nutshell AI extracts
Your Logo: Automatically detected and placed appropriately in your email (never oversized or awkwardly positioned).
Brand Colors: Your primary color palette is applied to buttons, headings, and accent elements.
Page Content: Text and messaging from the page help inform the email copy.
Images: Relevant images from the page may be incorporated into your design
See the example below of a webpage and the resulting AI-generated email, showing how brand elements may transfer.
What Nutshell AI creates for you
When you generate an email, our AI automatically creates:
Element | What AI Does |

Preview text | An enticing snippet that appears after the subject in the inbox |
Email design | A complete layout with headers, images, text, buttons, and a footer |
Your branding | Your logo and brand colors, pulled directly from your website |
Relevant content | Copy and imagery inspired by the page and prompt you provided |
No templates to dig through, no design skills required—just describe what you need and let AI do the heavy lifting.
Regenerating your draft with additional options
Not quite what you had in mind? No problem! After your initial draft is generated, you can regenerate with more control over the style.
Tone Options
Choose the tone that best fits your brand voice:
Modern: Sleek and professional. Strikes a balance between visual elements and informative content. Great for product announcements and company updates.
Classic: Warm and inviting. Uses more visual elements and a friendly, casual voice. Perfect for newsletters and customer engagement.
Minimal: Clean and focused. Uses plenty of whitespace, limited imagery, and concise copy. Ideal for quick updates and time-sensitive announcements.
Layout Options
Pick your preferred email structure:
Single column: A straightforward, mobile-friendly layout that stacks content vertically.
Double column: A more dynamic layout that can display content side-by-side.
How to regenerate your draft
1. After your initial draft loads, look for the regeneration options in the design panel.
2. Select your preferred Tone and Layout.
3. Optionally update your campaign description or website URL for different content.
4. Click Regenerate and watch your new draft appear.
You can regenerate as many times as you'd like until it's perfect!
Making additional changes
The AI campaign builder is only a starting point—you're always in control before sending out the final email. When you're done, click the 'Use and go to editor' button in the top-right corner.
This will bring you to the normal Nutshell campaign editor, where you'll be able to change anything about the email you'd like, test it out, and preview it before sending.

Tips for best results
Use content-rich pages: Product pages, blog posts, and landing pages work best. Avoid pages with mostly navigation or minimal content.
Match page to purpose: If you're announcing a new feature, link to that feature's page. The AI will pull in relevant details automatically.
Check the preview: If something looks off, you can always regenerate with a different URL or make manual adjustments in the editor.
💡 Pro Tip: The more relevant your URL is to your campaign goal, the better your results will be. A blog post announcing your winter sale will generate a better "winter sale" email than your generic homepage would.
FAQ
How does the AI know my brand colors and logo?
When you provide your website URL, Nutshell AI scans the page to detect your logo and extract your brand's color palette. These are automatically applied to your email design—no manual setup required!
Can I use any webpage, or does it have to be my homepage?
Any publicly accessible webpage works! For best results, use a page that's relevant to your campaign—like a product page for a product announcement, or a blog post about an upcoming event.
What if the AI can't access my website?
Make sure the URL is publicly accessible (not behind a login). If there are issues pulling your brand assets, the AI will still generate your email using sensible defaults, and you'll see an indicator that some assets couldn't be loaded.
Can I edit the email after it's generated?
Absolutely! The AI creates a starting point—you have full control to edit, rearrange, or completely rework any element before sending. Just click 'Use and go to editor.'
How many times can I regenerate?
As many as you'd like! Experiment with different tones and layouts until you find the perfect fit.
What if the AI doesn't understand my request?
Try being more specific in your description. Include details about your audience, the action you want readers to take, and any key messages that must be included.
Does this work for drip sequences and other campaign types?
Currently, AI email generation is available for broadcasts. Stay tuned for expanded support in future updates!
