With Nutshell’s Unbounce integration, you can automatically create leads and capture information from people that submit forms.

Protip: We've launched our own Landing pages feature which is an easy-to-use drag and drop landing page builder in Nutshell. Now, not only can you create and design landing pages, but you can also capture leads effortlessly using Nutshell Forms – offering a simple, all-in-one solution.

Unbounce is used to create forms and landing pages. You can use our integration to automatically create leads and people in Nutshell from Unbounce forms. We'll attach the appropriate sources to each lead, so you can see which forms generate the best leads.

We’ve developed a partnership with Unbounce to give Nutshell customers 20% off their first three months. You can sign up for an Unbounce trial using this link.

And, if you've got questions about this integration, we're chatting on this Unbounce integration thread.

Getting started

Visit Nutshell's Unbounce integration under Setup > Connections > Unbounce. (You can also find this on the main Setup > Integrations list).

You'll see a page that prompts you to connect with Unbounce:

Just click "Connect your Unbounce account," and you'll be prompted to log in to Unbounce. You'll be taken back to Nutshell, and everything is wired up!

Connecting Unbounce pages

After you've made the connection, you'll see a list of every one of your Unbounce pages. Click the "Send leads to Nutshell," and all new submissions will begin flowing in to Nutshell.

Configuring fields (optional)

Nutshell will try to automatically map fields from your Unbounce form to Nutshell fields. If we don't get it right, you can tweak those by opening up your form, click WebHooks. Click the gear, and then Configure Field Mapping. You'll see a list of every field in your form, and you can choose which Nutshell field it's mapped to.

If you're collecting custom lead fields, just make sure that you use the same field name in Unbounce and Nutshell. Custom fields from your form will automatically be attached to the newly-created lead.

Other fields that can be mapped:

account_name
account_industryName
account_email
account_phone
account_url
account_tags
account_address_address_1
account_address_address_2
account_address_address_3
account_address_city
account_address_state
account_address_postal_code
account_address_country
contact_name
contact_title (requires an account to be submitted simultaneously)
contact_email
contact_phone
contact_url
contact_tags
contact_address_address_1
contact_address_address_2
contact_address_address_3
contact_address_city
contact_address_state
contact_address_postal_code
contact_address_countrysource(Include one or more of these parameters to automatically tag a lead with additional sources from an ad or email campaign. If you have a custom field with this name, sources will not be created.)
utm_source
utm_medium
utm_campaign
utm_term
utm_contentproduct_name

And that's all! When visitors fill out your form, leads will automatically be created in Nutshell. You can see any errors encountered by looking into the Unbounce WebHooks settings.

Track lead sources via utm_ parameters

If you use a service like Adwords or MailChimp to send traffic to your Unbounce pages, you might use URL parameters like `utm_source` to track how people arrive at your page. You can automatically bring this information into Nutshell as lead sources, so you can compare conversion rates and invest in your best campaigns.

To do this, follow the instructions at Unbounce's site. All you'll need to do is add hidden form fields for each possible URL parameter. For example, add a hidden field named "utm_source" — it will automatically be filled with the right data by Unbounce, and Nutshell will automatically create the appropriate lead source.

Source tracking

Every lead from Unbounce will have three sources. Those sources will look like this.

  • Unbounce page

  • Unbounce page: Name of landing page

  • Unbounce page: Name of landing page (the variant of the page)

These sources are applied so you can quickly and easily filter by all leads that came from Unbounce (using the Unbounce filter), by the specific page they came from (using the name of the page as a filter), and by the variant of the page (filtering by the variant name). This gives you the ability to determine which pages and variants are most successful for you!
